The Colony
The Colony measures 680mm Tall and is 645 Wide.
It is quite hard to photograph as the colours vary as you walk past it. I have tried to get a similar light in all the pictures.
There are 7 pictures (each one an Hexagon) in all, each having 9 separate layers. That means there are 63 painted layers in total.
I have made a Special backboard to hold the extra weight (4Kg) and used a chain which when hung is covered by the work.
